Handsome Mid 19th Century English Burr Walnut and Walnut Antique Pedestal Desk Circa 1860.
The recently recovered leather top is crossbanded with a lively burr walnut veneer ,with one long and two short drawers to the frieze. The pedestals have three graduated full length drawers standing on concealed castors. The overall proportions of the desk are very elegant and have the benefit of a generous kneehole which is 24" wide and is rare for a desk under 4'6" wide
