Japanese Carved Hardwood and Lacquered Two Fold Room Screen, Meiji c1890, Each Panel Headed by a Carved and Pierced Panel, Worked with Sky Dragons amongst Clouds, the Frame Carved with Prunus, Ho-Ho Birds and Florets, Framing two Rounded Rectangular Reserves Carved and Applied in High Relief, to one Side with Two Cranes Perched on Flowering Prunus Branch, The Other Flying Toward and Alighting upon a Similar Branch, Against Black Within a Red Ground Border, Now Raised upon Metal Casters.
